When are we talking about a burnout?
Stress is an instinctive and automatic response to danger. Acute stress puts the body in survival mode to fight, flee or freeze. This stimulates the entire body to take action.
When the stress complaints get so bad, then there is tension. With both overvoltage and burnout, there is no longer a balance between “carrying load” and “carrying capacity”. Burnout is a more serious form of overstrain and an exhaustion reaction of the body.
Burnout literally means “burned out”. You are gloomy, everything takes a lot of effort, you can no longer enjoy yourself, you feel empty and tired and you can no longer concentrate. Sleeping well or taking a break, does not improve. With burnout, you have often piled up everything for years.

Causes of burnout
There are many causes for getting burned out, some being more obvious than others. People who are susceptible to burnout often have beliefs that drive them to take too much hay.
Fear of failure is a major culprit for getting burned out. As a result, your own limits are no longer properly recognized and taken into account, with the result that the body switches over to emergency reserve energy. The entire hormone balance and the immune system are disrupted.
Not listening to the signals from the body
If you go beyond your own limits for too long, the body reacts to this and the stress continues to accumulate. To be able to cope with this situation, the body feeling and emotions are unconsciously pushed away. You lose contact with what you need and which is good for you. Consider for example healthy food, rest and relaxation. And then something happens that causes the bucket to overflow and you fall out.
Do I have control during hypnosis?
A common view with hypnosis is that you lose control or that it lies with the person who is putting you into hypnosis. This only applies to hypnosis such as theater hypnosis. With therapeutic hypnosis you always have control over yourself.
